The Goodness of Garlic

Harmful free radicals that damage the membranes of cells are found naturally in our bodies. But the toxin like cigarette smoke, air pollution, radiation and ultraviolet light can increase the number of these free radicals. Garlic is rich in antioxidants that neutralize free radicals and can be role as a natural detoxification compound, to reduce or prevent damage to cells, among others which help prevent heart disease and cancer. Garlic also contains allicin, which contain antiviral or anti-fungal properties that can help kill bacteria that cause ulcers. But garlic also contains blood-thinning compounds and could cause side effects like stomach upsets, headaches, dizziness and muscle pain. Consult a physician before increasing the amount of garlic in your diet.
