Human beings have an instinctual fear of hunger and need for nutrients. The need for food is very large and may affect up to the brain is why when we feel hungry, we would run into the kitchen to find food. Hunger is the body’s way of saying we need the energy, if we want to maintain weight; we must pay attention to the signals our body is saying. This signal is our best friend when dieting. If we follow it, our body will get the amount of food as needed.
The following tips will teach us how to detect hunger and eat to keep our stomach full and in the mean time controlling the calories.

Do we really know how hungry feels? Before we say yea, identify the following physical signs.

Slightly Hungry: Stomach started ringing and we started planning for food. This is the time to eat.

Hungry: Keep thinking about food. Must eat in 1-2 hours time or we will enter a stage of danger: Hunger

Hunger: Very uncomfortable. Followed by dizziness and body feel weak due to low blood sugar levels

Still can not distinguish the sense of hunger stage? Hunger usually comes about 4-5 hours after we eat. If we feel hungry between meals, snacks with not more than 150 calories may prevent us from excessive hunger. Choose healthy snacks such as steamed carrots with a sprinkling of almonds.
