Naps may be the most appropriate response when confronting sleepiness during the day. However, the work and busyness gives us no time to do this. Recent research provides the perfect solution for professional and busy mom.
Rather then going crazy munching sweets or chewing gum to keep the open eyes, let’s turn to protein instead. These proteins help to improve the decreasing energy.
This study looked at the relationship between the effect of stimulation on food nutrition and body condition. Studies conducted on mice given several different nutrients, including amino acid mixture that is similar to egg whites.
The result was that the orexin cells in the mouse brain that functions to regulate the body’s balance was most stimulated by amino acids derived from protein. In addition, the researchers also found the protein helped establish sleep patterns. Protein prevents glucose from blocking orexin cells. Thus, we escape from the drowsiness after a meal.
Nothing wrong with eating high-protein foods to maximize our daily activities.
