Chewing sugar free gum, sweets and drinks may help distract your mind from thinking about eating and food. However, ever thought the habit might while have the risk of loosing your white teeth and its charm?
A study found that the foods and drinks that contain sugar-free labeled acid can cause dental problems. The research team says there is a risk that the unknown of the acidic substance might cause.
The term free sugars may give a false sense of security. This makes people automatically believe that the sugar-free products are completely safe for teeth. Researchers also said that the need for further education for the public about the hidden risks of dental caused by acidic substances. Other side effects such as stomach upset and diarrhea also needs to be explained.
Not only that, it turns out these products also did not help in weight loss. The product might even secretly have the same calories with high fat products. If this is the conditions would you still eat foods and beverages that are ‘free’ sugar?
