Eating fruits and vegetables every day not only will make us healthy and slim. The skin will benefit from all the nutrition and oxygen they contain.
A research examines the relationship between the condition of the skin with vegetable and fruit intake. A total of 26 middle-aged women participating in it.
During the study, half of the participants were given fruit and vegetable concentrates (different types of nutrients found in fruits and vegetables that the body needs). While 13 others were given only a placebo for 2 times a day. This lasted for 12 weeks.
Those who got the fruit and vegetable concentrates had an increased of skin cell metabolism as much as 39%. Their skin proved to be more hydrated up to 9%, 6% more toned, and 16% more dense. While the group who only received placebo experienced a decline in four categories above.
This study shows by optimizing the intake of nutrients and oxygen from fruits and vegetables, the skin will get more benefit. So, consume these foods to experience the goodness that is sure to please.
