Choosing Healthy Topping For Salad

Do not let the topping contain more calories than salad we eat.

Salad is a healthy food option included in good weight loss program. However, be careful; choose the topping wisely and not making healthy food a nightmare. To be successful in a diet program, make sure the topping choices that we choose contain nutritious and low in calories.

Here are some substitutions that we can do to get a healthy salad and also taste on the tongue:

Replace cheese with avocado.
Wanting something soft and taste creamy on the tongue? Try to select avocado rather then cheese. Besides having the same soft texture, avocados are much healthier and equipped with good fats.

Replace meat with soy.
If you want to add protein to a salad, soy can be a good choice. Usually the meat, either with fat or not, will be added extra salt. This is in contrast with the soy. Soybeans will fill us but with no additional fat.

Replace croutons with nuts
Like croutons (crispy toasted bread)? This bread contains a lot of empty calories that are not needed by the body. Not surprisingly, this food is the enemy of weight loss programs. If you want to add flavor crispiness to a salad, replace the croutons with almonds. It contain more proteins that are not contain in croutons.
