Stress is not only related to the health of the body only, but can also weaken the health of our teeth. Based on an analysis of 14 previous studies conducted, people with high stress levels would have a higher risk of periodontal disease.

When stress, cortisol hormone automatically will also increase. And it can cause damage to the gums, jaw bone and the immune system by allowing the bacteria to burst into the gums. Stress will also trigger a person to do bad habit to the teeth, ranging from smoking, eating sugary food, drinking alcohol and also to forget to clean the teeth regularly and properly.

Maintaining our oral health with regular exercise and have enough quality sleeps. Eating more vegetable and fruits can help reduce our stress levels and also protect the teeth.
