Respect Make You Happier

Evidently, rich and having lots of money is not the main source of happiness.
Feeling respected and admired makes us happy much longer than having a higher socioeconomic status. And this is evidenced by recent studies involving as many as 80 volunteers. Status of their social relationships are calculated based on the opinion of friends, self, and of their leadership positions. While socioeconomic factors viewed from income and other factors.
The researchers then found that participants are much more happy associated with social status than the level of their wealth.
One reason why money cannot buy happiness is because people quickly adapt to the level of income or new wealth. Lottery winners, for example are at first very happy, but then this feeling will soon change back to its original level of happiness.
Happiness from respect, influence, and great friends never fades quickly, in contrast to a lot of money. Thus it can be said money is not everything.
