Benefits of polyunsaturated fats for growing children.
Although many are aware of fat needed in a child’s cognitive ability to optimize growth. Many health organizations recommend that parents monitor the consumption of fat in children over 2 years.
Recent studies conducted on 3666 children aged 6-16 years. The survey was done in order to see the correlation between fat intake with psychological and cognitive abilities of children. Of this survey concluded, the total consumption of fat, whether saturated and unsaturated fats was not directly related to the psychological and cognitive development of children.
Is the consumption of polyunsaturated fat that directly benefits the child’s thinking ability. This is evident in children who consumed a high polyunsaturated fat appears to have the ability to take a memory and reading test with a very satisfying result. Foods that are rich sources of polyunsaturated fats are corn, salmon, and nuts.
