Help On Bad Breath

Chronic bad breath is worrying for anyone who suffers from it. The causes are several and there is a solution to bad breath or halitosis. Dental and throat infections can cause bad breath. However infections of the gums, mouth and tongue can also cause halitosis. There are things that we can do to prevent this from happening.
Dentists use a breathing monitor to find out if you have bad breath. It measures the amount of sulfur compounds present in the breath. Sulfur compounds smell bad.
The following are the causes and cures of bad breath:

Bad Breath caused by Post Nasal Drip:
The dorsum is the area in the back of the tongue. Dorsum was caused by mucus dripping from the back of the nose. If the discharge remained there for some time it will cause bad odor. Gargle with mouthwash, clean your tongue as well with a tongue scraper.

Bad Breath caused by sinusitis:
Bacterial sinusitis or infection of the nose or throat, congestion could be the root of the problem. Consulting a Ear, Nose and Throat specialist for treatment.

Bad Breath caused by Dry Mouth:
Antihistamines or decongestants can cause a deficiency of saliva from the mouth. This is called xerostomia, or dry mouth. Chewing gum can help because it activated saliva or having a sip of water to keep your mouth moist.
