The results mentioned, children aged 8 and 9 years old who like to play much outdoor can cut the risk of short-sightedness or myopia by half at age 15 if compared with their peers who rarely played outside.

The study involved more than seven thousand children who participate and each child takes an eye test at the age of 7, 10, 11, 12, and 15 years.
This trick might be one way to ward off eye disorders in childhood. Based on the study rates of myopia increased by 41.6% between the years 1999-2004.
