What are the similarities that bananas have with corn, eggs, salmon, and spinach? A vitamin that is good for your colon! It is Vitamin B6. Study has shown that with adequate intake of vitamin B6 per day, you can avoid the risk of colon and rectal cancer.

In a study that looked for what vitamin B6 can offer for colon health find that those who had the highest intake of vitamin B6 from food and supplements appears to have very little chance of getting colorectal cancer (cancer of the colon and rectum) to 20-30%. And that are just one out of many example studies found of the many benefits of vitamin B6. The researchers speculate that vitamin B6 plays a role in maximizing the work of folate in the body. In addition to a healthy colon, vitamin B6 also helps prevent Parkinson’s disease and depression. Consume bananas as much as 1 ½ -2 bananas a day to meet the body’s need for vitamin B6 and folate.
