Healthy Sleeping Habits

To achieve a productive day, one must get enough sleep. Here are some healthy sleeping habits that you can try to get enough sleep and at the same time reduce the risk of harmful various chronic diseases

  • Sleep and wake up at the same time every day including holidays.
  • Create a calming bedtime routine and make your bedroom comfortable, dark and quiet.
  • Use a comfortable mattress and bed linen and make sure to use the bed only for sleep and intimate moments only.
  • Do not do other things like working, playing gadgets, gaming, and other things on the bed.
  • Do not eat two to three hours before bedtime. Also avoid caffeine, alcohol and cigarettes just before sleep.
  • Try to avoid doing household chores before bedtime. Oven repair is not a good idea for instance.
  • Do not exercise before bed or do strenuous activities before bed.
