Flu During Pregnancy Can Cause A Child To Have Bipolar

Pregnant women who are exposed to influenza during pregnancy could potentially cause the baby to have bipolar disorder.

Babies who are born have the risk of developing bipolar disorder and are usually only detected in adolescence or early 20s. Bipolar is a mental illness that involves feelings of extreme disorder.
Although a study did in the 1960’s on 814 pregnant women who gave birth in the 1960’s did not found a clear relationship between the flu and bipolar disorder. But there was a concerned of the risk of developing bipolar to up to 3% -4%.

Researchers still recommend that pregnant women get flu vaccination to prevent them contracting the influenza virus
