Blocker Estrogen Lower Risk of Cancer

Drugs that can block the estrogen hormone can help lower a woman’s risk of developing breast cancer. According to a study involving 83 thousand postmenopausal women. Women who took the selective drug type estrogen receptor modulators (SERMs), such as tamoxifen, have a risk of developing breast cancer lesser by 38 percent less than women who did not use SERM. The reduced risk is the result of a 10 years research.

Other types of SERM drugs studied are raloxifene, and lasofoxifene arzoxifene. However, these studies did not show if it helps women live longer.
