Hypertension Lower Brain Functions

With a high blood pressure comes a high risk of various types of diseases. Recently, researchers found that the condition known as hypertension are also at risk of lowering the brain function.

Researchers, found after examining 493 participants aged 20-82 years.
Most of the participant’s data such as their blood pressure, smoker or non-smoker, and history of stroke or dementia were recorded before undergoing the tests.

Researchers conducted a series of visual tests to measure the participants’ ability to think and recognition. As a result, people with hypertension have worse test scores than those who had normal blood pressure.
It is estimated that it happen because the brain is disturbed due to the high blood pressure received.
