Olive Oil Make Satiety

For those who want to reduce calorie intake for weight loss purposes or other reason, try olive oil. A tests results showed that the consumption of olive oil help to induce satiety.

Researchers found the facts after the studied of two groups of participants who were asked to consume yogurt as a supplement. The first group ate 500 grams of yogurt mixed with olive oil and a second group ate yogurt with no taste and no smell. As a result, the first group did not consume other foods or extra calories while the second
group consumed other foods to an average of as much as 176 calories.

Aroma of olive plays the key role that creates a feeling of satiety. Compared to milk fat, lard and rapeseed oil, the satiety effect of olive oil are found to be most powerful.
