Frequent Daydreaming May Cause Insomnia

If you are one of many that love to daydream, you should think about it twice or at least reduce it. According to recent studies, too often daydreaming can make a person suffer primary insomnia.

Daydreaming just does not only cause problem during the day, but also at night. Because people will be awake more often because they cannot stop the thoughts that popped into the head or brain.

Scans were performed on the brains of people who daydream revealed that they find it difficult to ‘close’ part of the brain associated with thinking and fantasizing function that may lead to primary insomnia.

To find the relationship between daydreaming and insomnia, research compared the brain scans of 25 people with primary insomnia and 25 people without sleep disorders. They found that both were equally competent completing tasks that involve memory, but people with primary insomnia cannot control his mind which are similar to daydreaming.
