They Are At Risk Of Lung Inflammation (Pneumonia)

Pneumonia is a lung infection caused by bacteria, viruses or fungi. In general, pneumonia causes a containment of fluid or pus in the cavity of the lungs causing pneumonia patients have difficulty breathing.

Here are some risk factors that can cause a person to suffer from pneumonia or pneumonia.

– People aged over 65 years or infants under the age of 2 years. Both age groups have a weak immune system so
prone to infection.
– People with chronic lung diseases such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and cystic fibrosis.
– People with chronic diseases such as heart failure, diabetes or sickle cell anemia.
– Experiencing care in hospital intensive care units, especially the use of breathing aids / ventilator.
– Experiencing stroke complications or difficulty swallowing food.
– Experiencing malnutrition.
– Those who are smokers and alcohol drinkers.
