Parents Have No Autistic Gen, But Why Have Autistic Children?

Risk of having a child with autism can be detected using genetic tests that could indicate the possibility of autism in children through the genes of their parents. However, although there are also parents’ not carrying autism risk genes, but they have a child with autism, why?

According to geneticists, genetic parents could be normal but if living in a contaminated environment and lifestyle, coupled with other external factors can also cause autism in children.

So, how to avoid the risk of autism in children, in addition to early detection through a genetic test?

By meeting the micronutrient, avoid exposure to pollutants, especially heavily metal objects. Exposure to heavily metallic object such as mercury may increase autism risk factors in a person. Also, avoid cigarettes and sleeping pills that can damage genes. Things like that are called epigenetic.

Therefore, one of the benefits of genetic testing is able to organize good pregnancy if the parents have the gene carriers of the risk of autism. If parents do not have the gene, they could run a minimum of a better living.
