Sleeping With The Light On? This Is The Result For Health

Most people are accustomed to sleeping in a bright room or purposely turning on the lights all night, for fear of being unable to sleep when dark. If you are one of them, start changing this habit because sleeping in the room with the lights on is not good for health.

In a study, they used polysomnography to monitor sleep which is sleeping with the lights on and the lights off.
Study found that sleeping with the lights on is associated with sleep disorder. Disorder of sleep can make someone wake up several times a night. They also have lower level of a deep sleep.Stability of sleep keeps changing as artificial light stop the production of neurons during sleep.

Optimal sleep environment is crucial to getting a good night’s rest, including keeping the bedroom as dark before and during sleep.
