Coffee Can Affect Genes

Coffee has different effects that can make you awake all night.

Recent research shows that coffee drinks have an impact that can affect genes. The researchers found that caffeine shortened telomeres (chromosome ends from DNA).

Telomeres are made of DNA and protein, whose function is to decide the ends of DNA in chromosomes. They are extremely important in tissue repair and formations of DNA each time the cell are duplicated. This process is done continuously, until the telomeres become too short and eventually the cells die.

By drinking coffee, telomere shorten and eventually affect genes
